I’m back!

Hello Everyone :)

Well that has been a roller coaster 6 months!
Not to go into detail, but I am back in a good space again and getting creative.
I had my first play on the torch today for a long while, and have planned my weeks to make sure that I am making a lot more.

Over the next few weeks I will be getting my store up and running again, so watch this space.

Thank you to all my friends and customers for your support, much appreciated ;)

Hugs

Stock clearance

Pendants galore

I have had a lot of enquiries about my heart pendants and I find that I am not having the time to do multiple, individual showings at my home studio, so I am making an effort this weekend to list all of my outstanding stock for sale. I have quite a few pieces to list and they make awesome christmas presents. Postage is only payable once, so feel free to buy more than one.

My New Year’s resolution, starting now (lol ;) ) is to spend more time in my studio and to update all my new work weekly, so book mark this page and come back often to see how my work is evolving, both on the glass and the mixed media stage.

I hope you enjoy browsing through my work as much as I enjoyed making it.

‘Cold worked’ heart pendants

I have been ill recently and have been having coughing fits – which really is not a recommendation when working with hot glass! – the result of which is that I haven’t been on my torch for nearly two months!!!!

Incredibly frustrating, but even though I can’t get on my torch, I still have the urge to create, constantly, and I have been making some heart seed bead pendants, as I find individually placing all the seed beads very therapeutic. I have made loads, so I thought it was about time I uploaded some for you all to see :) . These will be loaded into my Flickr gallery and some of them onto my Etsy shop.

All pendants are OOAK Heart Pendant and chain by a SRA. Heart pendant is approx. 30mm at widest point and approx. 50mm  in length. It sits on a 600mm matching ball chain and has a double jump ring link for added security. There is a press link for fastening, which is barely visible when worn. The ball chain can easily be clipped to make it shorter and suit the length you require, or change it for a black ribbon :)

The pendants are decorated with polymer clay, mica powders, copper wire, hand placed glass seed beads and resin. They have been buffed to a high shine.  All are totally unique as I never make two alike.

Remember  you only pay shipping once in my shop, all additional items in the same order are shipped for free, so stock up for Christmas :)

Faceted beads are here

Faceted beads

Faceted beads

Whilst experimenting with my heart pendants, I made some of these beads. I quite liked them, so have started making sets of them. The facets are ‘cut’ into the glass whilst it is still hot, and really adds extra sparkle.

Yes, I know, I don’t usually make sets, but I am really enjoying these ones.

Please donate to Beads of courage!

beads of courage

Beads of courage needs your lampwork beads.

The programme supports and strengthens the protective resources in children coping with serious illness.

Each child’s Beads of Courage journey begins when they are given a length of string and beads that spell out their first name. Then, colourful beads, each representing a different treatment milestone, are given to the child to add to their collection throughout their treatment.

I have just sent them all my loose beads (nearly 200) and have pledged to make one bead for them at each torch session. If we could get other artists to do the same, it would help some very sick children and the programme would hit it’s targets.

Hybrid

Bees hybrid

This one managed to be a hybrid between my bee beads and my heart pendants. I have lampworked the bees and set them into handmade paper, coloured with tea and acrylics, with resin. I have also added a heart diamante. Aww, bless em!!!

Available for purchase at my Etsy shop.
